Reform of the energy and electricity markets: debate and final vote
At 9.00, MEPs will debate with Commissioner Reynders the reform of the EU electricity market to protect consumers from sudden price shocks, as well as new rules to facilitate the uptake of renewable and low-carbon gases, including hydrogen, on the EU’s gas market. The final votes will take place at 11.00.

Right to abortion
In a resolution to be put to a vote at 11.00, MEPs are expected to urge the Council to add sexual and reproductive healthcare and the right to safe and legal abortion to the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and to call on member states to fully decriminalise abortion.

Rule of law and media freedom in Slovakia
At around 10.00, plenary will quiz Commissioner Reynders and State Secretary Michel on behalf of the Belgian Council Presidency about how they intend to address the controversial reform proposals made by Robert Fico’s government.

Discharge: vote on 2022 EU accounts
At 11.00, MEPs will decide whether to sign off the EU budget for 2022. Parliament can grant, postpone or reject the discharge for each EU institution and body. The Budgetary Control Committee recommends that discharge be granted to the Commission, all executive agencies and development funds, but not to the Council.

International Roma Day. At 11.00, EP President Roberta Metsola will give a statement marking International Roma Day (8 April), followed by one round of interventions by political group speakers.
